Apple’s release of the video iPod caused lots of controversy and heated debate. Many are calling this move a disaster because it introduces the iPod into a flooded market of portable video players. This could even jeopardize the iPod’s dominance in the portable music player arena, and some analysts even predict that this move will lead to the downfall of Apple.

While those predictions may be indeed come true, I believe that this move shows Apple’s genius.
